Supporting Retinol
When it comes to antiaging ingredients, Retinol is widely recognized as one of the most effective at eliminating the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and other signs of aging. A form of Vitamin A used in topical skincare products this potent active helps stimulate skin’s natural collagen production. Unfortunately, some people can be sensitive to the ingredient and experience redness, itching, or even burning. That’s where c-PDRN® comes in. Used as a supporting ingredient in our Advanced Anti-Aging Retinol + c-PDRN® Serum, it greatly minimizes the the skin’s potential negative reaction so you get all the benefits without the irritation.
Supporting Vitamin C
Vitamin C, another common active, is well known for its brightening and antioxidant properties. It helps improve the appearance of dark spots and discoloration, evening out the skin tone. However, this ingredient can also cause adverse reactions in certain skin types. It also works best with increased skin turnover and is often paired with AHAs or BHAs to maximize its effectiveness, which may also cause irritation. With the addition of c-PDRN®, the risk of irritation is greatly neutralized while higher cellular repair and turnover functions are greatly supported. Allium Cepa (Onion) Bulb Extract is a less-well-known ingredient that has been shown to be very effective in minimizing the look of scars. Full of bioflavonoids, such as quercetin, daempferol, and cepalin that work to soften scar tissue, as well as antioxidants, Onion Extract is excellent for rapid reduction and softening of scar tissue. It’s even more effective with the addition of c-PDRN®, which helps increase cellular turnover and encourages natural collagen production, assisting in the scar elimination process.
